Once again, this set of photos takes us to Puerto Rico, to a place called “Playa Sucia”. To those with knowledge of the Spanish language, the name may throw you off — why would anyone want to go to a place called Dirty Beach? The name is very much a misnomer, much like Clearwater here in Florida, which isn’t very clear at all. Playa Sucia is a popular hang out for many of the residents of the western coast of PR, and it’s not hard to see why; it is held in a small bay surrounded by cliffs with breathtaking views, and the water itself is a gorgeous blue that, once you get a closer look, is nearly crystal clear. The only downside to Playa Sucia: It’s about a mile walk from the one parking lot; it may not seem like much to some, but it’s certainly not an enjoyable walk when you’re lugging around items such as coolers and heavy bags in the perpetual heat of Puerto Rico. But believe me when I say it’s worth it.
